Virgin Islands Department of Education Celebrates Outstanding Student Spellers in Upcoming District Spelling Bee Competitions

The Virgin Islands Department of Education (VIDE) proudly announces the much-anticipated District Spelling Bee Competitions, which will take place simultaneously on Thursday, February 20, 2025, in both the St. Thomas-St. John and St. Croix Districts. This academic showcase will bring together exceptional students from across the Territory who have demonstrated unwavering dedication, discipline, and a love for words as they vie for the top spot in their respective districts.

The St. Thomas-St. John District Spelling Bee will be held at the Ruth E. Thomas Auditorium, while the St. Croix District Spelling Bee will take place at the Free Will Baptist High School Chapel. Both competitions will be held at 9:00 a.m. These young scholars have spent countless hours sharpening their spelling, language, and vocabulary skills, and their hard work will be on full display in what promises to be an electrifying competition.
